Bure to sell its shares in The Chimney Pot AB

Bure has signed an agreement in principle to sell all of its shares in the portfolio company The Chimney Pot AB (TCP) to a company owned by TCP’s management for a total of SEK 34 million.

Bure, which owns 48.6 per cent of TCP, has signed an agreement in principle to sell all of its shares to Boiling Water AB, which is owned by the management of TCP. The total purchase price amounts to SEK 34 million and will be paid in three instalments. The main part will be paid on completion of the transaction, which is expected to take place before the end of the year.

The purchase price corresponds to Bure’s book value in the Parent Company, for which reason no capital gain or loss is preliminarily estimated to arise in the Parent Company.

The sale is yet another step in Bure’s explicit strategy to concentrate its portfolio.

Several of TCP’s major shareholders are selling all of their shares in the company to the same buyer.
