Right after midnight on January 4th, Ovzon's advanced geostationary communication satellite, Ovzon 3, was successfully launched from SpaceX's Cape Canaveral in Florida, USA. Ovzon 3 is the first Swedish-developed and privately funded satellite and will enter service by mid-year 2024 when it has reached its orbital position. Ovzon 3 will cover 1/3 of the earth via its steerable spot beams.
